and this was an attempt to study @starbucks, which apparently sells no plain orignal cheesecake for me but only some strawberry-flavoured one which didn't look appetizing at all so I was very disappointed and henceforth didn't study because I wasn't motivated to.

and this was on friday, where julia joni and I got down to cathay and had a japanese buffet - albeit rather costly, the company made it allllllllll worth it.

I need to a deep breath and calm the fuck down, my heart rate is exponentially increasing just by thinking about the outcome of tomorrow's paper, which would probably be bleak. I don't know how or what to do, it's 11PM and I should be getting ready for bed, since I take a buffer of one to two hours before officially falling asleep. then there's econs the day after, on case studies, which I assumed I'd do much worse for, compared to essays, but turns out that I suck equally at both. there goes my chances for everything. in the afternoon, while walking back from the RI library with our promqueen-hopeful, julia sng, feeling accomplished that I slept for an hour while others studied, I chanced upon a dirty light purple-coloured bra that was lying comfortably outside the doorstep of a female toilet. feeling embarrassed for the bra, I opened the toilet door and directed it in, took a picture of its pathetic state and left it to fend for itself near the dustbin - a much better place then its original location

honestly though, how on earth does one lose a bra ... in school

this time next year, it sucks to know that 5boys will be in the army while my favourite class girl's probably enjoying her life overseas. this time (3years ahead), probably all of them will not even be in Singapore anymore. . . &when they do come back, we've probably lost touch /it'll never be the same as before. they've most likely moved on and yet I'm spending my nights thinking about "what could've been". this time (10 years ahead), they'd probably be successful and I'm ... ... ... ha ha ha we'll see about that. we heard a boy's voice coming from anisha's side of the phone (!!!) but sadly, his presence was only felt through her laptop's speakers, thanks to skype.

and then when we finally sang fooweien her birthday song, which was rather well-sung I must say, tricia told us to pause for a minute because someone else wanted to wish her a happy birthday

. . then came the voice of ryan (!!!) which made us wonder what on earth was ryan doing with tricia at midnight (!!!) yeah. . . then came the truth, which dampened our imagination. apparently tricia and ryan (plus insignificant others) r staying over at IB to do their artwork while waiting for the moon to turn bright red (or brown)

within 15minutes, we had 2climaxes which didn't end as well as we thought it would.

I miss not caring about the world and its interactions so much,

ever since my laptop cursor accidentally pressed the "block" button to prevent google chrome from functioning, I have lost (almost) all will ~~to live~~ to use the laptop for internet.

windows internet explorer isn't as fast as chrome
windows internet explorer doesn't open new tabs as efficiently as chrome
windows interenet explorer takes ages to set up as compared to chrome
&windows internet explorer doesn't have the spell-check function, unlike chrome

so right now I could possibly be spelling every single word wrong in this post but sadly, I'll never know.

I attempted uninstalling my amazing security scanner - because the free trial period was over &therefore editting my firewall settings was impossible - hoping that google chrome could function as per normal again but sadly, I think I just made it worse.

although we spent almost 2 /3hours deciding what on earth to do, t'was quite a good night. am not really good w details but according to julialion.blogspot.com, we spent the first /two hours of the night at some spanish bar @triple one but that really wasn't the best of ideas because there were amazingly hot/gorgeous US models there that sunk our self-esteems. afterwhich, was when we spent 2 /3hours deliberating on our next move. we ended up at lim yew king's place to spend the rest of our night :-)

before heading to somerset for justin's 18th on friday, a few of us celebrated jeya's 18th birthday on the 5th floor rooftop ^^ clive was soooo sweet, planning her present, the surprise &everything. then the ever so gorgeous jonikhoo and I went to watch a movie - but we were 15minutes late hahahaha /as usual.

yesterday (saturday), I woke up at !@#$ing 630am - even earlier than a normal school day - for RMUN presentations. after 3years of participating in RMUN &being judged by rafflesians, I'm finally the one judging the secondary school kids (w teohrenjie) hahaha interesting, but exhausting.

and then I spent 30 whole minutes flagging for a cab outside RJ. . . when my cab ride took me only one-third the time. I basically ko-ed till 7pm hahahahaha &spent the rest of my evening with CLYK after that <3

how is it possible for someone to sit by the kitchen table, watch my phone ring as "dark blue - jack mannequin" replays over and over, &basically just stare at the screen blink on &off without picking it up ?! !? ?!

(no I do not think my period is coming just yet, so PMS probably isn't the reason for such an "over-exaggerated" reaction)

&all you do is just raise your voice from the kitchen to the second floor going "Cheryl ! !! !!! your phone is ringing." and after 30seconds of trying to converse with you while IN THE BATHROOM, you shout back "oh wait, it stopped ringing already."

obviously it stopped ringing, do you really expect dark blue to play continuously until I'm done showering and actually make my way down to the kitchen? I do not get how you r unable to pick up the phone when it is just less than 30cm away from you, while I'm somewhere else (much further away). are you really not able to answer it &tell the caller to hold on for just a minute, while I embark on a journey from the second to the first floor, and then to the kitchen?

possibly so pissed off because it has happened so many times before.

the rugby match went well and although it did seem like betrayal cheering for the red blue gold, I never really had loyalty for the green black white to begin with, so I guess my conscience is (sort of) clear.

5minutes into the game, my whole body felt weak as blood started flowing down jonyuen's head. sorry but that sort of was the highlight of the entire game, + when christopher lim yew king got subbed in after the first half was over ^^

I generally felt awkward, judged and out of place, therefore many attempts were made to cover up my green skirt with a black jacket when the match begun. &as I started shouting out for the school I never had the chance to be a part of, regret surged back in. 15months into junior college, but I've yet to let go of the fact that I could've been a part of them.

. . . perhaps that's the reason why I try my hardest to make the best out of the remaining 6months left in raffles, to minimize that constant thought of "what could've been" - though me trying hasn't really worked out just yet.

honestly though, I'm glad that my skin was thick enough to place my ass at the correct side of the grandstand. really am thankful for Gilda for making me feel a little less out of place, Bryce for his presence on the chartered bus to CCAB - otherwise I'd really be travelling "alone", &most importantly, Julia Sng for convincing me to get onto the bus hahaha otherwise this would not even have happened.

hello there, I'm so sorry that the only activity occurring for the past week in this blog's the constant spamming of unknown links attached with exaggerated compliments that I'd appreciate only if they were actual human beings instead of artificial virtual ones.

but I assure you that my life has been rather stagnant, just that I'm no longer embracing that stagnancy with metal devices implanted on my teeth. . . but yes it is still stagnant nonetheless.

I passed my 2.4km run, the only obstacle I thought hindered my chances from my 9th consecutive gold. however, what robbed my chances from such a beautiful victory was the 11 inclined pull-ups that I had to do to achieve that minimum C grade. well, I did 10. &from then on there was no longer any form of motivation to physically strain myself, really.

/silver medalist I am (for now. . . )

currently checking my hotmail every once in awhile to welcome my second white slip, which honestly I think is undeserving/unfair considering that the length of my skirt was not even short, relatively speaking.

I really do hope that everything will be fine as from now onwards. I'm really scared about everything that's happening to the world right now, and sometimes I try to disconnect myself from every live footage appearing on the screen. I'll switch the channel, glue my eyes onto facebook although the news feed's stagnant, misuse the replay button on youtube, or anything that's possible to distract me from all these happenings. The concept of death scares me every single day. I don't know how I'll be like after darkness consumes. My faith isn't strong enough despite praying for strength and trusting in the Lord. That trust isn't whole and fully dedicated, which is wrong, I know, but I can't help it. I still ponder about life after death, and how it may be possible that I'll be isolated from everyone I ever cared about. I tear, I pray, I close my eyes. I'm scared. I need answers, but I'm afraid of the unveiling because it might not contain what I hope the truth would all about. &if it isn't going to be pleasant topped with a happy ending, I'd rather live in uncertainty because at least a part of me thinks that everything might actually be okay.

I really hope Japan will be fine, and that the radiation won't spread any further than it already has. Please.

very exhausted despite doing absolutely nothing, though today I think I said something awfully intelligent before General Paper commenced.

having RJ's godly KSbull in hand, I positioned myself comfortably on the couch before opening up the book of all books. 5minutes passed and I felt like my level of intelligence rose by a millimeter or two, despite having no recollection of what the previous essay was all about when I moved on to the next. that was when our econs guru (shek khi huin) posed a question to the general crowd,

"where is Dubai at ah"

having the need to demonstrate my newly achieved intelligence level, I immediately replied

"India!"

because I really thought it was the right answer. and evidently, I was wrong as what proceeded next was basically laughter (the kind that's produced when one's in a slight shock) and a comment from a future straight As scorer (kyle yew),

"eh Cheryl, if you're planning to say something intelligent at least try a little harder la"

sigh, it isn't my fault that Dubai sounds like Mumbai, which in this case, is really in India right :(

okay it was actually quite funny when it happened but as you can infer, I'm an extremely lousy storyteller because this will now probably sound like an "intelligent" joke gone wrong by a typical Rafflesian student being made of fun because she didn't know something that's assumed to be common sense. yes, it's a rafflesian humour #dealwithit

so GP finally ended after one and a half excruciating hours, and I managed to cover 2pages, fully.

then I went on to tell the tale of how I survived those 90minutes to unwilling listeners,

proceeded to meet the love of my life (which naturally made the remaining day better),

ate my current favourite snack of all time shilin's oyster meesua,

walked 12345kilometers home in hopes that I'll not degenerate into buckets of fats,

played tilt to live for almost an hour in an attempt to break my previous amazing highscore (but yet failed to do so because my previous record's too amazing to beat),

watched my channel 8 drama @9pm,

watched a few episodes of 30rock after,

sent the love of my life home - which made my remaining day really bleak,

and then proceeded to use the internet for personal gains (if you know what I mean ;) )

so now, I shall venture out into the unknown that is my bed. good night -.- z z z

what's a normal day like for you in rj?

a normal day would mean waking up at an unearthly hour, dragging my ass into the car, then out of and towards the assembly ground, praying that we won't have to sing the school anthem because I don't like standing for too long.

after which, a bunch of us will attempt breaking through the sea of humanity to take the lift from the 2nd/3rd floor up to the 7th (where our homeroom is). if we're in luck, the lift is ours. if not, I'll just wait on till I get into one. on a normal day, I would NEVER climb 7floors up because that's suicide to me.

then when lessons officially begin, my eyes/ears/brain will momentarily shut down unless I've got an iphone to preoccupy myself with. certain times, I listen/pay attention/take notes - however, that'd be mostly during econs because my teacher is quite anal.

when it comes to lectures, I don't really bother listening because nothing actually enters my mind and stay there. also, my degree is a bit off so I'd have to squint to see what's on the screen and no, I don't like squinting. my eyes are already very small :( if I'm in luck, I get to play bamboo panda on julia's iphone or monkey tree on kyle's itouch.

recess, I'd buy my favourite starfruit juice and then painfully decide what else to consume because nothing really looks appetizing. only the cool appreciates starfruit juice!

yeah when lessons end, I'd usually stay back in school to have lunch with the fabulous5 +1 before heading home and taking my 2/3hour nap.

HAHA yes that'd be a really long/normal boring day :( last time, we had monopoly deal to entertain us during breaks but kyle yew decided to not sponsor us with cards anymore </3

this week has been awfully exhausting. it wasn't an order to sleep @2am but somehow my body clock opted for that choice. my ~~intelligence is~~ eyebags/dark circles are growing exponentially but my time dedicated to studying isn't.

jinfu/julia sng mentioned that I could attempt "locking" my computer so that any application will not function, and if I'm really that desperate to use the computer/withdrawal symptoms are overwhelming, the only key to unlocking would be to write a full-length passage (chosen by the computer?) without making any form of error, otherwise I'll head back to start again.

HAHAHA wtf okay after typing that out, the thought of it sounds too ridiculous to carry out and it sounds so fake :( maybe I got punk'd. . . so I shall depend heavily on the discipline that has yet unleashed.

walking about town with good company doesn't feel as physically exhausting as assumed.

exercising/any form of physical activity has never been my forte. has never been, and will never be my forte. repetition is needed for emphasis.

just a few weeks ago, I realize that screaming comes naturally to me when I've got a ball at hand and am needed to make an accurate pass to my team mate even though I've got half the court charging towards me. the amount of attention I receive during that 1second duration of holding the ball captive is breath-taking, although it barely started/quickly ended because the inanimate object probably slipped out of my hand before I actually had the chance in attempting to shoot/or pass.

if life worked in slow motion, I'd replay that moment any day.

as attention grabbing as it is baring your unclothed body to a crowd of strangers that're caught off-guard, the amount of time required to get noticed is nothing comparable to the moment when the ball reaches those delicate hands of yours. heads will turn, &within a split second, you've got their undivided attention.

if only it was that easy, without the need to physically drain oneself.

and on a completely unrelated topic,

sometimes we find ourselves slowly morphing into something we detest, yet we come up with the most ridiculous reasons to convince ourselves that "the situation's different", though deep down, there really isn't much difference at all.

this is when hypocrisy consumes and multiplies.

my fourth day into constant toilet trips with blood-soaked pads,

dejection is sufficiently overwhelming right now although I'm sure that it has nothing do with the monthly ordeal I'm currently undergoing.

one year into junior college, I think I've learnt how to lower my expectations so much so that rejection would not crush me that hard, that badly. any insult or sarcasm I sense, I try to take it by stride because I think I managed to pull my self-esteem down low enough that these words won't hurt me anymore. . or so I hope that every possible rejection or insult I face won't affect me that much. but really, I'm fucking sick and tired of getting beaten down each time. I've never taken part in any school event the way I did back in PL, every single audition I go for was basically a waste of my time and my studies no longer match up.

I try my hardest to make everything seem alright, like I didn't really need/want it to begin with. . but every decline and refusal creates self-doubt that slowly evolved into confirmation as that constant question of "am I good enough" just became a definite "I'm just not good enough". compliments became "flattering lines that deceit" for courtesy sake because I genuinely believe none were really true. rejection from dramafeste, rproj, college play, end year production, anything and everything makes me feel so fucking useless. not that every single event meant a lot, but when all these had a collective "no" response, that meant something. hopefully false fronts and a harden exterior won't make me crumble because I don't like displaying that vulnerable side, because I dislike being pitied. I'll try to take this in all alone since I've already done it for a year or so, and 9more months won't really matter if I try to avoid putting my skill (or lack thereof) to the test.

I've never felt so exhausted in such a long time before, my train of thoughts (yes, even though I hardly have any to begin with) are currently experiencing technical difficulties but I should have this written down before it slips off my mind &gets lost in the midst of nothing:

going on a banana boat with the people I spend most of my time with during school really made my day today despite

cursing at every possible major turn,
having saltwater directed into your naked eye constantly, &seeping into your abrasion due to hardcore rodeo-bull riding during take5 (which lasted an amazing 10seconds),
experiencing losing your grip the first time &therefore getting dragged into the sea,
experiencing the exotic taste of seawater because you thought (while in the midst of closing your eyes) that you were already reaching for air but actually still had a few inches of water above you, therefore opening your mouth @that moment wasn't exactly an appropriate time,
seeing a really smart boy lose his grip 5times hahahahahilarious,
experiencing being engulfed by seawater the second time &your fbts almost came off and got lost in the sea s i g h ,
taking the backseat although it was seriously bumpy but blooooody funny because everyone flew up and slammed down/towards the middle/against each other continuously,
experiencing losing your grip the third (and final) time, but having 6others join you in the vast ocean as well,

well it is true, according to christopher chan, you do have the balls. but whether you actually put it to great use at all is a whole new different topic because once again, it was just inappropriate. maybe it didn't process in your mind that I'm not "one of you guys/bros" and I don't function the same way you guys do, being absolutely direct/blunt. at least have the limits when it comes to girls because no one really practices much gender equality as I can observe (or you can make a special exception when it comes to me if you think that not all girls are highly sensitive and that I'm probably over-reacting)

maybe I should just shut my thoughts and feelings (as absurd to others as they sound) to myself, limit the bare interaction we have with the signal of a wave, which I think will occur from today onwards, then the world will seem like a brighter/more peaceful place.

I'm starting to get realllly nervous about A's this year and am beginning to question my ability to actually score an A for each subject. I've completely no clue about my career path, so right now the only so-called "belief" I have is to score straight As and therefore have the ability to choose (almost) every university course I want right here in this sunny island.

as I grow older, festivities like the upcoming one on 3rd Feb no longer brings about anticipation or excitement. it just seems like a normal dinner on monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday or friday (weekends are slightly different), . . but the only thing different would be that instead of having a plate of vegetables accompanied by two different types of meat/fish &a bowl of clear chinese soup, we're sitting around a circular table with raw ingredients and a central pot where boiling/cooking takes place.

the hype that was once present at the age of 12 or 13 ceased. and as years went by, it never came back even though I wanted it to. going visiting's like a family outing on saturday or sunday, . . however instead of stoning at my grandmother's place (which sadly, I dread) with an ancient hongkong movie playing on television, we get swarmed by new year goodies and then proceed to stone while an ancient hongkong movie plays.
